The Love of Money - Show Notes

Money is not the root of evil; the LOVE of money is! The Scriptures teach it is the root of ALL evil, so in this lesson, we explore just how far back this goes. Is it only to mankind and the garden of Eden, or is it far more ancient than that? How did money apply in God’s kingdom before man?

Love of money - Greek: philargyria - love of money, avarice

Covetous: inordinately or wrongly desirous of wealth or possessions; greedy

Covetous - Greek: pleonektēs - eager to have more, esp. what belongs to others
greedy of gain, covetous

Merchandise - Hebrew: rᵊḵullâ - merchandise, traffic, trade

Scripture References:
All Scripture references are cited from the King James Bible.

I use a Tyndale printed King James Bible that can be found here:

Lucifer introduced evil into God’s creation due to covetousness. This lust for what others have has been the root of all evil, and the Serpent is the source of that. He used it to entice Eve and will continue to use it to direct and deceive his human proxies on the earth until the prince of Tyrus, his seed, appears with the ultimate deception of mankind. Never fear! Christ is returning to destroy the serpent and his seed!
